Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Jiu-Jitsu equips a smaller, weaker person with the ability to defend themselves against a bigger, stronger, heavier attacker with the use of leverage and weight distribution. . Training can be used both for self-defense situations and for sport grappling tournaments. Sparring (commonly referred to as “rolling” within the Jiu-Jitsu community) and live drilling play a major role in training and the practitioner’s development. Jiu-Jitsu is not just a martial art or sport, but also a method for promoting physical fitness, discipline, and character.

Gymnastics
As an introductory to gymnastics, these classes will encourage the joy of moving and whole body exercise, and aid in the development of strength, flexibility, and coordination in a fun, engaging, and structured way.
How It Works
We will be using various apparatus such as balance beam, floor exercise, rings, and spring boards to help enhance the child’s experience. We will learn basic gymnastic positions and beginning level skills that will help establish a solid foundation on which to build a lifetime of health and fitness.
We are intentional about making sure we are teaching important social skills like taking turns, being considerate and respectful, listening and following directions, etc. In this class, kids are building and strengthening motor skills and challenging themselves to new gymnastic skill levels all in fun and engaging ways. We hope to continue to build a love of movement and inspire awe in what our bodies are capable of doing and set them on a course of a lifetime of health and fitness.
